Last semester, Ian did some volunteer work with a local social work group that works with school dropouts, keeping them out of trouble. He served as a role model, sort of like a big brother to the kids.<\/p>\n
He was invited to join an outing with the group this week. They are biking from Hualien \u00e8\u0160\u00b1\u00e8\u201c\u00ae to Taitung \u00e5\u008f\u00b0\u00e6\u009d\u00b1, along the southeast coast of the island. They left this morning at what Evan calls “stupid o’clock.” He will get back on Friday. It’s a good opportunity for him. He can spend some time with kids from the other side of the track.<\/p>\n
